Meredith

Meredith is a sweet little girl.  She is usually always smiling and is starting to repeat everything you say.  She loves animals.  She loves Cubby and kisses his picture on my iphone.  So cute.

Congrats Meghan!!

We went to the Judson University Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner on Friday night.

Meghan was being inducted into the Hall of Fame.  We had a great time and we are so proud of all of her accomplishments.

It was great to see Meghan, Kris and Shane, but it was fun to see Shawna, Brandy, Coach Gum, Coach Evans & family and some of her old team mates.

It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years since Meghan graduated from college.  I can not be old enough to have a daughter who has been out of college for 10 years!

Great memories!  Thanks Meg for many years of fun watching from the bleachers!

Snow Day!

Remember when you were a kid and they closed school because of snow.  That was like the best present ever.

We have a snow day today!  I did not have to be anywhere today and Mick's office was closed so we are spending the day at home.

We started the day clearing the driveway, making paths and an area for Cubby to go potty. He was exhausted after running outside this morning.  There was no way he could get around, the snow was too deep until we cleared some paths for him.

Yeah for snow days as long as I do not have to drive anywhere they are great!!

A nice cozy fire later and maybe watch a movie.  Can't beat that!

Out with the old....

Out with the old and in with the new!  That is what happened in our house yesterday.

We finally broke down and bought a flat screen, HD, 3D, LED,  55" TV.  Oh and a Blue Ray Player with that.  Being the Tech nerd that I am, I have no idea what Blue Ray means, but it does look nice.  I had to go out and buy 2 movies on Blue Ray.

We have had our old TV for over 10 years.  It was a great TV.  I can remember the day we got it.  We all huddled around and were so impressed.  At that time there were no channels in HD.  I used to ask myself:  Why do we have a HD TV when there are no HD channels available?  Well soon enough they started broadcasting  in HD so it was nice to be able to just get a new cable box and be HD ready!

Now we are 3D ready, even though there really isn't much broadcast in 3D and we do not even have the glasses.  But the TV has a great picture and it is nice not to have that big rear projection TV in the family room.

Out with the old:

In with the new:

I am glad that as we age we are not replaced with newer models:)

Anyone interested in our old rear projection 55" wide screen HD TV let me know. I have a deal for you!!

Gloomy Saturday

Today is looking rather gloomy out.  I so look forward to some better weather.  I want to take Cubby to the bike path, but they are snow packed and most likely slippery.

I got the chance to have my three little dumplings stay at the house on Thursday night.

Caleb is getting so big and talks using such big words and he has a great imagination.

Meredith loves to cuddle, but shows a great love for  animals.  She had so much fun watching the birds and the squirrels from our kitchen window.

Shane - I got to give Shane a bottle and it was such a joy to hold this sweet baby in my arms.

They are all so precious.

I hope to go to Tucson in March to give sweet Evangeline some Grandma love.

No major plans for the day.  Church at 4 p.m.  We are finishing up a series which has been speaking to me.  Last week's message was titled:
Worried:  There's an App for That.
Anyone interested in watching it go to:

You can watch  the podcast.

Enjoy this Saturday and we hope the ground hog does not see his shadow next week:)
